"Issued for the Purchase of MINING PROPERTY" - printed on the right side.
Rare very early Nevada certificate. The year 1866 is written over the Internal Revenue stamp as well.
Finding the original stock receipt for such an old certificate is quite uncommon (shown below). This will of course be included.

MANHATTAN JACKSON MINING COMPANY - Tonopah, Nevada - The mining camp
and town of Manhattan were in Nye County, 50 miles north of Tonopah,
NV. This western town was established in 1905. Many of the mines in the
district were quite rich in milling ore and some contained pockets and
veins of pure gold! According to the Manhattan, NV business
directory from 1907 - 1908 the population was 2,000. Price - $60.00

MANHATTAN PINE NUT EXTENSION MINING COMPANY - Incorporated on Aug.
20th, 1906 Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - I just really like
the name of this company. Located in the Manhattan Mining District in
Nye County. The original claim was called the Pine Nut. The mine
produced gold & silver. Company president, C .E. Mayne. Price - $46.00

THE BALDY SOUR MINING COMPANY - Of Treasure Hill, Nevada - White Pine
Mining District - Issued to company president, Eugene N. Robinson. Oliver S. Dawson secretary.
One of the mine shafts on the property was called the Dawson Shaft. To
the south of the Baldy Sour was the Nonpareil Mine and to the east the
Sweetwater Mine - also bordered by the Moscow Mine. All were reported
to be good paying mines. Extremely rare and attractive
certificate!

secretary. Owned 3 groups of claims in the Ely Mining District. One of
the mine shafts known as the Brilliant Shaft produced silver-lead ore

EUREKA SEARCHLIGHT MINING AND MILLING COMPANY - Incorporated (Feb.
20th, 1908) Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - Stock #24 - Issued
just over a week after incorporation, on March 2nd, 1908. Very scarce
certificate. Photograph in upper-left shows three men standing beside
an unusual rock formation somewhere in the desert. This gold mine was
located 15 miles south of Searchlight, Nevada, at Camp Thurman. There was a two foot ledge showing a pay streak of gold 10 inches wide in granite. Signed by Oliver G. Ross as secretary and John T. Nagle as company president. Price - $120 SOLD
