1889 THE CACTUS MINING COMPANY - Cactus Massachusetts Copper Mines - Frisco, Utah - The company had offices in Paris, France but the actual operation was in Beaver County, Utah. The certificate says copper but I am told that the company produced gold & silver as well.

1909 THE GRAND CENTRAL MINING COMPANY - Provo City, Utah - Mines Located at Tintic Mining District, Utah - In 1920, the Grand Central was the deepest mine in the district, reaching 2600 feet deep! It was quite rich, producing gold, silver, copper and lead.

1903 ERIE COPPER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1902) Under the Laws of Utah - Location of Mines, Beaver Lake Mining District, Beaver County, Utah (printed beneath number of shares). Offices at Salt Lake City. C.E. Albrook president and L.G. Brown secretary. Owned 15 claims showing fissure veins in granite. Most of the copper was found in low-grade sulphide ores but some native copper was occasionally discovered in the lower workings.

1921 BINGHAM GALENA MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1921) Under the Laws of Utah - This operation was likely in Bingham Canyon. Offices at Salt Lake City, Utah. Early stock# 10.

1918 THE UTAH MINE - Located at Fish Springs, Utah - Impressive certificate showing a large Bald Eagle perched on a beehive. Gold company seal. This was a lead - silver mine located in Juab County.

1909 WARM SPRINGS IRON WORKS - Incorporated (in 1909) Under the Laws of the State of Utah - Issued to L.B. McCornick, who I believe was the son of the well-known Utah banker, W.S. McCornick. Stock# 5

1930 UTAH PENNSYLVANIAN OIL COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Utah. Issued to L.B. McCornick. Office at Salt Lake City.

1923 EUREKA METALLURGICAL COMPANY - Incorporated in 1917 - Eureka, Utah - Issued to L.B. McCornick for 1,500 shares. The company was organized to conduct a general metallurgical business, using patents of R.V. Smith for treating carbonate lead-zinc ores. Operated a small mill at Eureka. R.V. Smith signed the certificate as vice president.

1920 UTAH ZINC COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Utah - Issued to L.B. McCornick for 5,000 shares. This company had a zinc oxide plant at Murray, Utah. Office at Salt Lake City.

1909 BULLION LEASING COMPANY, LTD. - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Utah - Issued to L.B. McCornick for 8,000 shares worth 25 cents each. The very first one issued - Stock# 1. Great vignette showing two early miners loading an ore cart in a tunnel. Office at Salt Lake City, Utah.

1917 UNITED TUNGSTEN MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of Utah - Stock #3 issued to L.B. McCornick for 2,400 shares. This operation was at Lucin, Utah. Office at Salt Lake City.

1916 SALT LAKE BASEBALL CLUB OF THE PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE - Incorporated (in 1915) Under the Laws of the State of Utah - I'm not much of a sports guy but I'm guessing this would be quite valuable to some baseball fan out there. The presidents' signature appears to read, F.S. Murphy. This is the only example I have seen.

1912 SALT LAKE AUTOMOBILE SPEEDWAY COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of Utah - I believe this is from the very first organized speedway company on the great salt lake in Utah. Issued to L.B. McCornick. Shares were worth $125 each. I can't read the presidents' signature but the secretary was D.W. Adamson. Early stock #12. Reverse is very ornate. Rare racing history!!!

1919 GRADY MOTOR COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of Utah - After much searching, I could find no reference to this obscure early western car company. Stock #9. Office at Salt Lake City. Signed by _.M. Grady (I can't read the first initial) who I assume was the founder of the company.

1917 BONNEVILLE ON THE HILL COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of Utah - At first glance, I thought this was a car racing stock. With some research, I found that it was an early high-class residential suburb of Salt Lake City, known for the architectural style of the homes. Stock #22
